A warehouse or factory is a very different job to a house. The footprint is bigger, there are loading docks open to the street for most of the day, and pallets of stock move in and out on a schedule that never really stops. A pest program that works on a home simply does not scale to a 5,000 square metre distribution centre with roller doors on three sides. What these sites need is a planned program that treats the whole property as a system, from the fence line to the top of the racking.

Our industrial programs are built around three pressures that hit large sites hardest: rodents that follow food and shelter into storage areas, birds that roost on high steel and foul the goods below, and stored product pests that arrive inside incoming stock and spread through a warehouse. For each of these we set up a monitoring layer first, so we can see where the pressure is coming from before we treat, then a control layer that is checked and topped up on a regular service round.

Every program comes with documentation, because an industrial site almost always has to answer to someone else. That might be a food safety auditor, a landlord, an insurer or a customer running their own supply chain checks. We keep a site plan showing every bait station and monitor, a service report for each visit, and a running record of activity trends so you can prove the site is under active control. Big industrial buildings are built for birds without meaning to be. High steel beams, open truss roofs, loading dock awnings and signage all give pigeons and sparrows a warm, sheltered ledge to roost on, right above the goods and vehicles below. The problem is not just the noise. Droppings foul stock, corrode metal roofing, block gutters and drains, and carry a hygiene risk that no food-grade site can accept. Nesting material in the wrong spot can also trip sensors and clog roof cavities.

Our approach starts with working out where the birds are landing and why, then blocking those spots so they move on for good. On beams and awnings we install anti-roost spikes and tensioned wire systems that make a ledge impossible to perch on. Across larger open voids and dock openings we fit netting that seals the whole area off, which is the most reliable long-term fix for a building that keeps attracting birds. We clean and disinfect fouled areas as part of the work so the site is left safe for staff.
